Classes

Do you have projects that you have started but are not quite sure how to finish or are stuck on what the next step is? If so we encourage you to come in the fourth Friday and we will do our best to assist you. We will have a team member on stand by to lend a hand or provide some guidance so you can move forward toward completing the project. This is not a structured class but rather a time to sit and sew with some help where needed.

Cost: $ 10.00
This is a great class to learn the finer points of creating and applying binding to complete your projects. The project could be placemats, table runners, quilts, and more. Part of the class will be lecture and then we will supply a quilt sandwich for you to apply a binding to. Once you master this you will be able to take that knowledge and apply it to your own projects that are waiting to be finished. Bring one of them with you to class and you will have time to start it with Kathy's guidance if needed.

Come join in as we learn the techniques to make a curvy log cabin quilt. Over the course of two classes you will be cutting your fabrics and assembling the blocks and borders that serve as the core of this quilt. You will need to work on completing your blocks between the first and second class so you are prepared to advance to through the final steps to complete the top. If you are not quite sure how to finish off a quilt top, we are also offering add on classes where you will learn or refresh your skills for putting your quilt sandwich together and then working to quilt the top on your machine. The next week the second add on class will be a class to learn the techniques for binding quilts. The class to make the quilt sandwich and the binding class are supplemental and one does not have to have attended the Curvy Log Cabin quilt class to attend. You can bring your own topper or practice with the muslin squares we will provide.
